Perseverance Works is one step closer to full direct fibre access and data transport services, which would give affordable 30-100 Mbps broadband access services and cheaper private circuit charges to tenants.

After a site visit from the local MP, Meg Hillier, who fully supports out plans and took the matter to committee, the tender document went out to industry in October last year. It invited pitches from broadband providers.

Six full responses and one partial response was received. All providers have been invited to present their proposals to the Perseverance Works board in the coming weeks.

Perseverance Works and Printing House Yard have also expressed their interest in the government voucher scheme to support super-connected cities.  It is understood that Perseverance Works and the associated tender document and pitches are being used by government to help shape the programme.
