On Thursday 27th April, members of the photographic community attended a series of seminars at the Stand Out Photographic Forum hosted by jj Media Group.
With more than 75 attendees, the event gave local photographers and students the opportunity to hear from experts, get hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology and software, and watch live demonstrations.
The most influential names in the business and the next generation of talent descended upon Perseverance Works to attend the event, which was hosted and sponsored by media production services company jj Media Group. This was Stand Out’s only London event before they head to forums in Vienna, Paris, Dusseldorf and Zurich.
The Stand Out Photographic Forum’s mission is to bring the photographic community together to inform, inspire and excite. Hearing from innovative industry creatives, it provides the opportunity to explore new ideas by bringing leading photographic brands together under one roof to demonstrate their products in an intimate and meaningful manner.
The day gave the attendees fortunate enough to get a ticket the opportunity to listen to the best photographers and business minds discussing their successes, industry tips and tricks, as well as areas of expertise. In total there were five seminars covering business and marketing to workflow improvements.
jj Media Group CEO Josh Jones said: “Stand Out is a fantastic initiative that not only brings the photographic community together but also inspires. There is no better place to be fostering creative talents than East London.”
The event at Shoreditch’s creative hub had a full house for every seminar and offered a range of different perspectives of the industry covered by Miss Aniela (on surreal fashion), Timo Lieber (on aerial photography), Steve Richard (who held a live shoot) and Bill Cramer (on entrepreneurship for photographers).
Stand Out’s next event takes place at Pin-Up studios in Paris on May 18th
